I’m not offended by kids movies being purely for kids, but I don’t think that needs to be an excuse either. Shaun the Sheep is delightful nonsense for a kid or an adult.

Part of the reason for the inflated budgets of all streaming properties is that residuals and ancillary profits basically aren’t a thing, so they get rolled in to the budgets. But the nice thing about residuals (for the studios) was that they didn’t have to pay out for flops. Read more
