I think a lot of the writing in "Clone Wars" is actually quite smart, although I frequently wish the series had more bite. They do seem to run into trouble when the characters and plots seem a bit more...focus grouped, maybe? Like they think kids want a very specific thing and they're trying to grow it in a lab.
