What's interesting about this figure is that apparently, according to analysts, MoP only sold around 700,000 copies at retail - which goes to show how much of a boost Digital sales have become for PC games in the two years since Cataclysm. It helps that MoP was also the first time Blizzard put out a digital CE too, as Read more

This looks less like an Artillery-esque, heavily armoured vehicle, like the scorpion is, and more of a scouting vehicle - fast, lightweight, but with not as powerful a set of weapons (although there seems to be a bit of trailer-trickery here making it look rather powerful) and overall weaker armour. I actually quite look of the Mantis - I don't know why, but the chest/cockpit area reminds me of the tip of a Hornet or a Pelican, just on legs! It ties into the visual style of the UNSC quite nicely. Read more

Not a book/comic or TV show, but there's some awesome Sci-Fi goodness in gaming this month, with X-Com: Enemy Unknown hitting shelves on the 9th (12th in Europe). Brilliant turn-based strategy combat, wrapped in a slightly schlocky, very B-Movie-y sci-fi vibe.

Man, this whole X-Com situation is kinda weird. I mean, they announce the shooter-reboot to anger from long-time fans, then early previews still seemed strongly positive (if annoyed at it being a shooter) just before it vanished off the face of the earth... then Enemy Unknown, pretty much a dream scenario for people Read more

This looks so interesting! I'm glad Treyarch have iterated on the formula and push it forward rather than taking the easy option out and just basically putting a new mapset out for Zombies. I think that's why I end up liking their Call of Duty games a lot more than I do Infinity Wards - Treyarch always seem to want Read more

It's not though. The 10 years of travelling is the time that Amy and Rory have experienced whilst in the TARDIS. Just like how they managed to spend 7 weeks away from their anniversary party, and yet only Brian noticed they're wearing different clothes than they were a few minutes ago from his perspective. Billie was known as a popstar before Who, not really as much as an actress (Despite a rather fantastic turn in the BBC's Canterbury Tales reimagining) - it's only after Rose that she skyrocketed in the public consciousness again, and this time as an Actress. Secret Diary of a Call Girl was actually a lot bigger than Read more

You'll be able to make a Pandaren character (but not a Pandaren Monk - they can Mages, Warriors, Shaman, Rogues, Priests and Hunters), but you won't have access to Pandaria or Levels 85-90. Read more

Not really: all this stuff happens only if you've got a prepurchased MoP license activated on your account (i.e, if you've purchased the digital versions of the expansion). Read more

This one's at least importable if you can't wait. Hopefully it won't have the same problems Zen United have had with Persona 4 Arena... Read more

Billie has probably done the least, but that's more down to her marriage and becoming a mother, but even then she had a 4 year run with Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which was very big. Catherine went off and did the Office in the US, and a variety of theatre productions - including a very successful run of Much Ado Read more

Looking forward to my copy coming in the post Tuesday (sure, I won't be able to roll my monk the moment the content hits, but I'll take being comfortable and warm in my house rather than queuing out at midnight in the cold for my physical CE!). I think the Art book is the bit I'm looking forward to the most - the Read more

Thank GOD it's not Zen United! After the way they've completely mishandled Persona 4 Arena's release here - although Atlus are just as much to blame with that, thanks to the region lock - I was worried that we'd get just as poor a deal with P4G, considering Zen's ownership of the 'Persona Europe' site/social network Read more

Spring 2013 is all they have at the moment. So it's a bit of a wait, but hey - at least it's not being handled by Zen United after their P4A Debacle! Read more

Very nice! I like how this sort of emphasised the lighter tone a bit more. The first trailer - which is still magnificent - was much more sombre and 'epic', especially with Thorin's song, but this is nice and bouncy and gave that feeling of an adventure a lot more, without sacrificing that same epic tone in parts. I'll continue going against the grain and say I am extremely excited. Build up on Origins, Learn from the mistakes II made thanks to its rushed development, but keep the best of both those games and bring it forward into this. Read more

Friday here in the UK. I'm choosing to go in a DS9/Guild Wars 2 induced coma till then. Ughh, I want me some Borderlands 2! Read more
