Really sorry to hear that. Make sure your shoes fit right (mine were too big for me when I was your age, and I'm sure that was a contributing factor). Strengthen your inner quads by doing wall sits, making sure your knees track over your feet (and don't extend beyond them, or beyond a 90 degree angle for your knees). Read more

Before rehab my heel would hit and then I'd basically collapse in to a flat foot. Heel to instep, bringing my toes down in kind of a slapping motion. Read more

I did, and I think they helped me transition to a more correct walk, but after a while I think they may have hindered more than helped. You may start to rely on them rather than strengthening your foot and using proper technique. Read more

I'd say find the best physical therapist and/or orthopedist in your area. Research their reputations. There's a world of difference between good a PT and a bad one. Read more
