I really enjoyed the book - above all, I loved that it was what I called a deterministic novel. The characters drove the actions, rather than the actions driving them. Neat setting, but it was the characters that I enjoyed the most. Read more

I came across it on Prime's website - io9 mentioned it as well back in May. Another good one (I'm biased, having helped with the slush process early on), is Armored, by John Joseph Adams, which is all about power armor. Read more
