Sunscreen is good for you, and not just because your mom told you so. It can help prevent skin cancer! Unless it's one of these just-recalled Banana Boat variants, in which case you might die in flames.
According to a press release from "Energizer Holdings," which apparently owns Banana Boat (who knew!), the defect lies in the fact that certain spray bottles have too big of a nozzle, which dispenses too much sunscreen too fast. This prevents it from drying fast enough, which makes you flammable—"a potential risk of product igniting on the skin if contact is made with a source of ignition before the product is completely dry."
Which also makes us wonder—has sunscreen been flammable all along? Have we really been lying under the beating sun basically covered in napalm? It looks like it.
