Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is an iPhone-based RPG set in World War I. When it comes out later this year, you can help these doughty British soldiers stave off insanity and defend the world from horrors beyond time and space.
Developer Red Wasp Design hasn't set a firm release date yet (they pointed out that these images are from an alpha build of the game and subject to change). The images are from the standard definition version for the iPhone — an HD version is planned, as well as versions for the Android and other platforms.
We don't know much about the game beyond these shots of soldiers fighting undead and Dark Young. Red Wasp is working with Chaosium, publisher of the venerable Call of Cthulhu pen and paper RPG (celebrating its thirty-year anniversary this year) to maintain the crucial Lovecraftian elements of horror that destroys men's sanity. If I had to guess from the screenshots, it looks like the game may use turn-based combat similar to the classics Jagged Alliance or X-COM. That's pure speculation, though.
