I've got a confession: I've never much liked in-ear earphones. I've had several well-reviewed pairs over the years, but I could never get them to stay in, even though I tried pretty much every trick and insert. I couldn't take a short walk to the subway without adjusting them a bunch of times. Athletic use was pretty much a non-starter. But then I found Yurbuds: let me tell you, these things stick in your ears. Brent Rose agrees. He wrote in his review:
Yurbuds, with their Twistlock design, stay in your ears like nothing else. You could headbang your face off, but they won't fall out, and they're actually pretty comfortable.
Yurbuds are a new earphone line aimed at athletes. The Ironman Inspire Pro model has lots of sport-friendly features, like sweat-proof ear inserts, a solidly-constructed remote that's compatible with Apple music players, and that previously mentioned Twistlock design. Yurbuds also makes a pretty solid iPhone armband so you can plug in your Yurbuds into your phone when going for a run. But here's the real secret: you don't need to be an athlete to use Yurbuds. You just need to want lightweight earphones that stay in your ear.
Today, our friends at Sound Earphones are featuring a deep discount on the whole Yurbuds line for Gizmodo readers. The code gizyurbuds nets you a pretty great 30% discount. And you've got options—I recommend the high-end Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Pros, but there's also a remote-less set that, with today's code, is only $20.90.
Now you have one less excuse not to go out for a run. [Sound Earphones]
