This week in the world of cartoons, we get the season finale of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, an episode that pits Iron Man and several guest stars against the deadly Makluans.
We also get another team up on Ultimate Spider-Man, a diary shattering controversy on Regular Show, and everyone's favorite synthetic humanoid, the Vision, appears on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!
Tron: Uprising and Gravity Falls are off this week, but will return in early August. As always, minor spoilers ahead!
Adventure Time – "Sons of Mars"
Magic Man is back!In this episode, Magic Man steals the identity of Jake, leaving Jake in the form of Magic Man and in line for sentencing in a bizarre Martian court. In the course of this episode, we learn the Martians still use overhead projectors. The episode features Miguel Ferrer as Death, co-star of RoboCop and my favorite Omni Consumer Products executive of all time.
Ultimate Spider-Man – "Beetle Mania"
Spider-Man and his motley team (do they get a name yet?) of White Tiger, Nova, Iron Fist, and Power Man join together again at the behest of S.H.I.E.L.D. Their mission? To take down the Beetle while protecting Mary Jane and the ever lovable J. Jonah Jameson. I say the group should befriend Beetle and create the Thunderbolts 2.0.
Regular Show – "Diary"
Mordecai and Rigby are given a massive task - the responsibility to water Margaret's plants while she is out of town for the weekend. This leads to the duo searching the house, with Rigby mocking Mordecai at every chance because of his crush on Margaret. They do find one interesting thing in the process - Margaret's diary, but the duo proceeds to destroy it.
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes – "Behold... The Vision!"
Vision makes his debut in this episode, one half of everyone's favorite robot-human married couple! Captain America's mighty shield is damage. To repair it, Cap, Thor, and Hawkeye travel to Wakanda where they also attempt to convince Black Panther to join the Avengers. Vision is seeking out the shield as a vibranium source, and the robot makes an interesting debut in this clip.
Iron Man: Armored Adventures – "The Makluan Invasion Part 2: Unite!"
This episode marks the finale of the two-part storyline that ends season two of the series. Iron Man joins forces with the Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, War Machine, and more to fight the Makluan alien invasion. You can check them all out in this clip — this season ended strong.
