This Discounted Retina Macbook Pro Is Your Dealzmodo-Apple-Promise Deal of the Day

Yesterday that semi-arrogant, totally-disappointing Apple holiday email finally hit my inbox. It's seriously disappointing because it's not even advertising any discounts, but just the same Apple products that have been at the same Apple prices for weeks. We didn't even get a lousy iTunes gift card with purchase. You might be giving some iPresents this season that you've bought at full price, and that's easy. But if you're careful and patient, discounts on Apple goods do exist.

That's why Dealzmodo is making a promise. If there's Apple stuff selling online for less than Apple, we're going to post it here. If the deal's really notable, we'll tweet it.

If there are $320 iPads for sale, we'll post them. If you can save some money on a new iPhone, we'll tell you where it's happening. Hell, if you can send in your ancient iPod Nano and score a current-generation unit, you'll find that "deal" in our new Apple section. Dealzmodo is now your one-stop shop for Apple discounts. You're welcome.

It starts today. This is the 13-inch Retina Macbook Pro that came out last month and is selling everywhere for $1699. Amazon's got it for $1561, and if you're in the right state, you won't pay sales tax. That could save you almost $300 on a new computer. Sure, Kyle Wagner said the 13" MBP Retina was "so good, but so not worth it," but with this discount, it's a little more worth it. And if you want it, you want it. You should probably buy it today. [Amazon]

Update 1: B&H has it for the same price, no tax outside of New York, and 3 years of Applecare is only $95. Plus you'll get Parallels for free. Pretty good deal. [B&H]
